Happy New Year friends of local trails,
Forgotten Trails Association is getting started again in 2024
We're a volunteer group in the areas surrounding South River. We create, maintain and promote safe and ecologically sustainable trails of natural or historical significance. Our 4-season back-country trails are managed for the purpose of recreational, non-motorized trail activities.
Our next meeting setting 2024 goals and starting plans will be
January 11 5:30 to 7 PM
@ the South River Brewing Co's 'community hall'
Come out and get involved and help spread word.
On the proposed agenda;
- Winter trail event ( snow-shoe &/ x-country skiing) ? in partnership with February Winterfest / family Day
- Trail maintenance and improvement days and next steps
- Other seasonal trail events
- Volunteer roles & recruitment - trail stewards, activity organizers, communicators.
- $ update & - donation to A.C.T. trail ( @ AHSS) development - sign-making budget. - fundraising
- Other 2024 plan business
