Good Happenings Food Bank – Fill a Truck Event

The Good Happenings Food Bank is holding a fundraiser at Freshmart in South River on the May long weekend from Friday May 16 starting at 1pm and ending Sunday May 18 at 7pm at South River Freshmart. Our goal is to fill the back of a half ton truck with non perishable foods . For participants at the event during the weekend for every 10$ or 10 pounds of food they donate they will receive a ballot for the chance to win either a kayak and paddle ( worth 900$ donated by Swift canoe) or a Fire pit Ring ( worth $350 donated by Bear Chair). You may not be aware that our local foodbank is in need of your support because of the increase in costs of groceries and the increase in number of clients using the Foodbank which has made it difficult to keep our shelves stocked. Freshmart has issued a challenge to all local businesses to show their support for the Good Happenings Food Bank by donating 100$ or 100lbs of food. Please donate if you can.
